Ten years ago on a whim, Julie sent Carrie an email asking if she would be interested in working together.
Carrie had quite the reputation as a makeup artist in Jax, and Julie wanted to collab with her on a few upcoming shoots. She was two years into her photography business at the time.
When Carrie agreed to do a test shoot together, Julie invited her to “the studio,” which at that time was Julie’s 2-bedroom condo. She had turned the primary bedroom into the studio because it was the largest room in the house.
That test shoot sparked a decade and counting of collaboration!
Eventually Julie moved and built a studio behind her home. She invited Carrie to share that space with her for about a year before they were ready to dream bigger...
In 2023, they got the opportunity to go in on a luxurious space together... and it was an easy yes!
They now share space at Studio Edison, and it’s a dream come true.
As creative “solopreneurs,” they enjoy getting to bounce ideas off one another. Working in the same space together feels so natural and organic and they both feed off that energy!
